Non-Surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation
Just like the skin, vaginal tissue changes over time.
- Collagen support fibres lose their youthful strength and vitality
- A feeling of looseness called laxity occurs, especially in the vaginal opening
Vaginal laxity is an extremely common medical condition, caused by aging, childbirth, genetics and lifestyle, and it can result in:
- Reduced sensation during intimacy
- Urinary incontinence
Radiofrequency (RF) treatments for vaginal rejuvenation heat up tissue but are well tolerated. They can be performed at our licensed clinics by a nurse or physician’s assistant under the guidance of a surgeon.
RF treatments are done without anaesthesia. There is typically minimal to no tenderness after RF treatment. Typically patients don’t need post-treatment medications.
Heating the tissues affects the cells producing collagen, so the tightening effect may take a month. Tightening of the labia majora with RF can be apparent immediately. Depending on the number of vaginal births and other factors, more than one treatment may be desired. The whole experience has been reported as having less discomfort than waxing or electrolysis.
At this stage there is no rebate from either Medicare or private health funds.
With us you are able to develop a payment plan and this can be discussed with our consultants at the time of your appointment.
The information on our website is general in nature. It will not apply to each and every patient and is not intended as a substitute for medical advice.
We advise you to speak to a consultant and see a surgeon in-person to assess what surgery is most suitable for you. Plastic and cosmetic surgery results can vary significantly between patients and all surgery carries risks, some minor some serious. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
